You identify two of Iran's greatest strategic assets in this conflict: its leverage over the Strait of Hormuz and its ability to exploit what you call America's weakness of strategic patience. How should the U.S. prepare for the next conflict with Iran? What would it take to reduce global dependence on the Strait, and how do we reverse what you call America's weakness of strategic patience?

Feels remarkably like the conclusion of WWI. US, France & UK demanded reparations from Germany, but basically didn't change the government. As you saw where that got us 20 years later.
